The two Gulf countries had promised a grant to Sudan of $3 billion in the form of cash and commodities after the military ousted Bashir in April 2019, but it is unclear how much has reached the country in total. Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, running Sudan under a precarious, transitional power-sharing deal with the military since Bashir’s overthrow in an uprising last year, is desperate for more foreign support.
I hope the money goes to the people who need it and not into corrupt hands.

How is throwing money at someone’s face who doesn’t know how to use it, beneficial to that person? Though, this shows the increasing normalization of global efforts between countries. Globalization is inevitable.

Throwing money at a complex problem is not going to fix it. The leadership in Sudan needs to be willing to embrace democracy. Then the trend needs to continue for future generations. If there is a reversal every time a new leader comes in power, you are just pissing away money.
