President Trump also addressed the weekend death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, saying the ISIS leader is 'dead as a doornail.'

David Jackson and Grace HauckCHICAGO – While reveling in the weekend death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, President Donald Trump used a law enforcement speech Monday to blast Chicago's police superintendent, the actor Jussie Smollett, and Democrats seeking his impeachment.

"I want Eddie Johnson to change his values and change them fast," Trump said, citing the city's murder rate. “What we should continue to focus on is the fact that Chicago has made progress in the last few years," Johnson said. In discussing his law enforcement record, from a new criminal justice reform bill to his proposed wall at the U.S.'s Southern border, Trump's appearance took on the air of a campaign event.

Protesters greeted the president throughout the city, including several hundred who gathered across the Chicago River from Trump Tower, the hotel-condo where he held his fundraiser. The Chicago Police Department beefed up security by canceling regular days off for some 1,800 officers.

He's trying to get goody points. Knowing he has done wrong.

Well he is dead as a door nail. Of course leftist are going nuts and praising Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

Ah, the Grand Exhalted Embellisher speaks. Hoping Military Intelligence doesn’t tell him critical details unless they purposely want the Moron to blab it out during one of his embellishments.

Thank you Mr President and our outstanding military.

No credit to you sir, but the brave military!

Lock him up lock him up lock him up😃😅🤣😡😡😡

Love it! The world is a better place now.

Thank god he’s dead!

And I see he had the body parts dumped in the ocean..,,

What can anyone expect from an arrogant, ignoramus who is Trump?

He just says it like it is.....

6/12/16: al-Baghdadi killed in a US airstrike. 5/28/17: killed in Russian air strike. 6/11/17: killed in Syrian artillery strike. 6/29/17: Iranian leader says he's 'definitely dead.' 7/11/17: Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed his death. 10/26/2019: Killed again.

Gloating over someone’s death who also killed three children is not statesmanlike even if the deceased is as evil as he was.

45 is right.

Thank you 45.

Well said. J Smollett or whatever He calls himself, is a Poor excuse 4 a Sup & an even Poorer excuse 4 a Man. Fr the Looks of Him, Id say he's fr a Very Bad Gene Pool.

Am I the only one that is surprised that realDonaldTrump hasn't tried to claim the $25m bounty that was on al-Baghdadi's head yet?

This is crude and disgusting language!

And he’s dumb as a doornail

Guess it hurts his ego to have one less person present to kiss his $$....

This is a hate crime that should be prosecuted. I would normally say to let people do the stupid things and customers decide if they want to give them future business. I can see where this particular one is someythat you wouldn’t want your kids to think is ok. Same as Kathy’s stupid stunt. Which is what it's supposed to do. And here you are feeding it. take it down, ignore it, move on. Instead you fuel the hate fires just like the scarecrow creator intended.

Andrew Sullivan: The Difference Between Boris Johnson and Donald TrumpBoris Johnson and Donald Trump are often lumped together. But one is defending democracy while the other is tearing at its fabric. sullydish writes sullydish I do not recognise Johnson from this description. To anyone living in the UK at the moment, even his supporters who like him because of the nationalistic rhetoric and his defiance of the law, the idea that he is a reasonable man who just wants the best for everyone is laughable.
