The latest Gallup survey found 51 percent of Americans did not want the Senate to remove the president from office.

President Donald Trump's approval rating has gone up since the impeachment process began, and most Americans still don't want the Senate to convict him, a new poll has found.on the mood of the nation found 44 percent of U.S. adults approved of the commander-in-chief's performance going into the Senate impeachment trial, which is set to begin in earnest on Tuesday.

President Trump's net disapproval rating has taken a steeper fall in the same time frame, down nine points from a -18 approval rating in October, according to Gallup polling data. By comparison, 46 percent of polled U.S. adults backed his conviction and removal from office in the build up to the delayed House vote on sending articles of impeachment to the upper chamber. A further 3 percent said they had no opinion on the matter.

"But we should be careful not to overstate the bounce Trump has gotten from impeachment, it is only happening at the margins among Republicans as most were likely already on board with him.

Regardless, Donald Trump needed to be impeached for what he's done. The House did their job. Now YOU do yours. Convict the MOFO.

Newsweek is clickbait now - no one buys the paper copies, and no one subscribes online. Newsweek is garbage clickbait that uses garbage headlines for 'engagement' numbers on social media.

i've said this even about negative polls concerned with trump: most polls are taken via land lines, from people who actually pick up their land lines. the reason poll outcomes are so chaotic is because of this and curation of info anyways. stop believing polls.

Americans support impeachment: Lots of polls

Hopefully if they don't support removal they want the satisfaction of voting him out of office!

I just set my alarm to 53 : 47

Stop!

BS.

McConnell chose this venue because he knew we’d get tired of listening knowing GOP will protect Trump from impeachment. History will not be kind to this miscarriage of justice

Most Americans are obviously just like him. Slick, shady, liars and cheats

I will guarantee that before I have scrolled through my time line today that I will find a poll that will claim Trump's approval ratings are down and most Americans want conviction. Come on, stop pretending that polls are scientific, accurate & reflect what most Americans think.
