Happy Runners Qualify for Olympic Marathon Trials
Along with the elites, the marathon will feature dozens of men and women hoping to OTQ before the buzzer. As of January 14, around 40 women had expressed interest in joining the OTQ pace group at Houston, according to pacer Rick Powell. Men aiming to qualify for Trials in the marathon must finish in sub-2:19.
Yet there was absolutely no coverage on the Houston abc ... only talked about the men. At one point one of the announcers said ‘some of the women coming through the finish line now’ that was about it. Not even a camera car assigned to the women evidently.
