Author:Maria BobilaPublish date:Sep 22, 2019Earth's natural wonders are surely on designers' minds for Spring 2020. At Milan Fashion Week on Sunday, Dolce & Gabbana transformed the Metropol into a chic jungle, complete with lush greenery and a catwalk emblazoned with leopard print, as well as the cushions of the venue's seats. As for the collection, the general theme was essentially safari, but it make fashion — high fashion.
Models sped across the runway — there were 120-plus total looks to get through — in its first inspired theme: khaki utility ensembles accented with leopard print and other animal motifs. A variety of jungle-inspired prints popped up throughout the collection, including palm leaves, tropical florals, pineapples, coconuts and even West African instruments.
A Dolce & Gabbana collection wouldn't be complete without its all-black ensembles. The designer duo balanced the many eye-catching patterns and embellishments on the runway with more somber, dark-hued looks that arrived intermittently throughout the show: form-fitting dresses, sheer separates and, of course, Sicilian lace. Consider this particular selection for your après-safari wardrobe.
