In a brand new clip released shortly ahead of the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the titular sorcerer is seen rescuing MCU newcomer America Chavez. After the success of the first Doctor Strange, released in 2016, a sequel seemed all but certain. It was initially put into development with director Scott Derrickson returning, but he later departed over creative differences.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness follows Benedict Cumberbatch's titular sorcerer during his sixth outing within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It picks up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, finding Strange as he is forced to battle a new kind of evil across the multiverse. Confirmed to be joining Strange within the film is Wanda Maximoff, now known as the Scarlet Witch, who is dealing with her own magical resurgence.

This is especially notable since it comes after No Way Home, which famously saw most of its major cameos leaked online.
With the first official clip from Multiverse of Madness now released, the hype for Strange's next outing in the MCU is at an all-time high. Furthermore, with this footage of the universe's brand new hero, America Chavez, audiences everywhere should be wondering how she could possibly fit into the overarching story and what she could bring to the table.
