When sent the video, a spokesperson for the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information told TODAY in a statement police responded to the incident at approximately 2:25 a.m. at the McDonald’s, which was located on Delancey Street in the Lower East Side neighborhood of Manhattan.A man in New York City was arrested on Friday after “menacing” customers at a McDonald’s, which included using a small axe, according to police.
The man in the video appears to then remove his backpack and pull out what appears to be a small axe. With the axe, he smashed the end of a table at the location and shattered a glass barrier. He then approached several patrons with the axe, but did not appear to inflict any injury using the weapon. When sent the video, a spokesperson for the New York Police Department told TODAY police responded to the incident at approximately 2:25 a.m. at the McDonald’s, which was located on Delancey Street in the Lower East Side neighborhood of Manhattan.
He was released WITHOUT bail 🤡
how many bullets did the police shoot at him?
Well, if he didn't start it, then how did it escalate to him pulling out a hatchet? Who actually started it? From comments I'm seeing customers started it. But why? (I haven't read the article - can you tell? LOL!) Was he troubled? Anyone try compassion and kindness first?😞
And I hope the people that assaulted him first were arrested too?!!!
The man was punched by those customers. The title should say: “MacDonald’s Customers punched a man which then reacted with an axe”
Hatchet attacks are no longer considered illegal in Democratic cities. However, using the improper pronoun could get you arrested for a hate crime.
better axe him what the problem is.
Progressive paradise.
Dude with the axe did nothing wrong. The other people fucked around and found out.
Why is menacing in quotes? The video is horrendous.
He was standing there getting hit over the head by three guys before he took out the hatchet.
I watched it. Didn't look like he was menacing. Looked like self defence after they jumped him. Looked like he was showing them that he was more dangerous than them and teaching the GF of one of them that her friends are idiots.
I think the people that kept him out of the dining area defending it like it was their home base should pay for the damages.
First the Dairy Queen Clown and now this. I’m glad nobody was killed, but these situations are happening more often. Sidenote: as far as public safety is concerned, the argument of carrying guns or weapons in public for “self-defense” is a complete and utter bullshit excuse.
Geez. I do believe a small axe 🪓 is still an axe that can kill you.🤷🏽♀️
