A prominent Florida doctor went missing while boating earlier this week — and his unmanned vessel was found Thursday, officials said.
Dr. Chaundre Cross, 49, a radiation oncologist, was last seen Tuesday on his 33-foot Sea Ray dubbed “Vitamin Sea” at a Naples marina, according to officials. The vessel was found abandoned in the Gulf of Mexico between Naples and Sanibel Island — which is about 25 miles away as the crow flies, the Coast Guard“Coast Guard crews from Ft. Myers Beach, Cutter Crocodile & Air Station Clearwater continue to search for a person in the water,” the feds wrote.“He hasn’t returned and family members are concerned,” officials said.
