Disneyland workers laughed at a 66-year-old disabled woman before she fell getting off the Jungle Cruise ride — and died five months later from septic shock, a lawsuit alleges.
The family obtained a wheelchair from the park for Aguilar, who was recovering from a knee injury at the time. The ride has an ADA-accessible boat that allows disabled parkgoers to board without getting out of their wheelchairs, but Aguilar decided to ride a standard boat with the help of her daughters.
The woman remained at the Oxnard, California, facility for five months, before she contracted an infection there, went into septic shock and died on Jan 29, 2022.

Sorry. You’re so huge and injured. You were offered the fat disabled persons section of the ride that allows your wheelchair in. But nope! With an injured leg and being fat she slipped and fell and broke her femur. It’s the family’s fault.
The family will have a bit of a difficult time, I think, proving wrongdoing on the part of the park. The only wrongdoing the park did was allow the disabled woman to attempt ride in a boat that was not intended for a disabled person in a wheelchair. Family partially responsible.
The Skipper is the only staff on the Jungle Cruise ride, and their sole purpose is to monologue endless bad jokes. This sounds like a cheap shot to force a settlement with a company with deep pockets.
