Disney lawyer is pushing back on Scarlett Johansson’s suit against the company, saying Disney has complete control over the distribution of 'Black Widow'

A lawyer representing Walt Disney Co. in its legal battle against actress Scarlett Johansson defended Disney’s distribution of “Black Widow” and said Disney will seek to move the fight from the courts to arbitration.recently filed lawsuit

. She alleged her contract was breached when Disney last month released the movie “Black Widow” on its Disney+ streaming service at the same time as its theatrical debut. In Ms. Johansson’s suit, she claimed Disney’s Marvel Entertainment guaranteed an exclusive theatrical release with her bonuses based on the movie’s box-office performance. By making the movie available on Disney+, her potential bonuses were greatly reduced, the suit said. Disney and Marvel, she alleged, were obligated to renegotiate her deal to compensate for the potential damage to the box office.

Give her the money!

If they set a precedent they can cheat every movie by doing a double release and only paying the actors the movie theatres and not streaming revenue.

Scarlett is right to be upset. Disney’s attempt to pull a fast one is indefensible and not surprising. They’re using pandemic to cut Scarlett’s pay while trying to get public’s support by labeling her ‘greedy.’ Pro tip: media company has no business calling anyone ‘greed.’

Not if ScarJo is also Producer.

A lot of individuals depend on the price of a crypto to go up before they make profit, well I am happy I’m not in this category anymore a, I make profit regularly from coin pump and trading , DM me for a life changing opportunity

Can’t believe that Disney is blowing an absolute layup of a PR move. They might as well have Mickey pull his pants down at Disneyland at this rate

Scarlett is about to be out of work for a long time. Black listed!

Esta pelea si me gusta para igualdad de género. Tienen guevo los de disney haciendo ellos plata en su plataforma y no reconocer el beneficio a sus actores. Además es la mamacita de scarlett.

Both sides have lawyers and without a doubt heavily negotiated her contract. Simultaneous digital and theatrical releases aren’t new, been going on for a while….

It's not like it was a very good movie. And people aren't even going to theaters to see movies. Less than 10 people attended when I did. I go to movies 2-3x/week and have yet to see 20 attend (sometimes only 3). She should be happy with the $20million from streaming.

Admit Micky to the public domain. Then we'll start to believe the legality of Disney's actions.
