The union says gains include 3 to 3.5 percent wage increases in the first year of the two-year contract, an increase in the employer contribution rate for the pension plan and the addition of Juneteenth as a holiday.

“Our Commercial Negotiations Committee negotiated a fantastic agreement coming out of a tumultuous period for the industry,” DGA president Lesli Linka Glatter said in a statement. “This contract contains significant gains for our members and will grow this area of work for years to come.”On the DGA side, negotiations — which began in August and concluded this month — were headed up by Eastern executive director Neil Dudich and a committee of members with commercial experience.
