Whitmer's new order has been blasted for its inconsistencies, as it allows the sale of lottery tickets, but not paint or gardening tools, and lets non-Michiganders travel to their Up North cottages, but not Michigan residents.

The Michigan Conservative Coalition and Michigan Freedom Fund asked for protesters to surround the Capitol in their vehicles at noon Wednesday to display flags and signs, make noise and be disruptive about Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's"erratic, unilateral orders that threaten Michiganders' economic existence," according to a news release. They warned protesters to come ready for a potentially major traffic jam.

The Michigan Conservative Coalition's sentiments are echoed by many people in the Facebook group"Michiganders Against Excessive Quarantine," which as of Monday, its fifth day in existence, had nearly 270,000 members. "This is going to be coming in waves for awhile, it isn't going away," Greulich See said."We could lock ourselves in the house and crash the economy for a year and it won't be any different."

I think we should have all the protesters be allowed to have a nice group hug, plenty of kisses and lick some doorknobs. Oh and thanks for letting everyone know that death is acceptable if money is involved. That'll be good news to women who can't afford to be pregnant.

What is everyone’s problem, no one should travel around obvious, and if you have to go to a store for paint you are endangering those workers. Wake up, selfish people

She’s clueless and her angling for VP is blowing up in her face

You actually CAN buy paint and gardening supplies. I just bought some yesterday. From a local small business with curbside pickup.

Michiganians

You gave Karen too much power, Michigan.

Lottery tickets are essential.

Patriot Movement Calls On Followers To Defy COVID-19 RestrictionsIn the rural Northwest, far-right elected officials, and the militias they're aligned with, are calling for defiance of statewide stay-at-home orders, including one issued by Idaho's GOP governor. They are idiots and want virus to kill millions more. I say arrest them and put them in those nice jail cells that most inmates want to get out of. Have fun killing yourself and thanks for disregarding the well being of the commons.

Also most normal people who need to work. I’m glad they want to be the alpha group aka the what-could-go-possibly-go-wrong group? That way we have evidence / proof that it didn’t work. Wait until dear ones get sick. Sudden , silent, change of hearts can be anticipated . Such is Radical selfishness.

Can Trump 'override' states' pandemic decisions? Will he?When states balk at stay-at-home orders, Trump emphasizes 'federalism.' When they're prepared to maintain the orders, his emphasis is ... different. MaddowBlog Wait a second, if Governors want to open up early Trump can’t stop them? MaddowBlog Absolutely by declaring a state of emergency. MaddowBlog Just so we’re clear: the journos tell us it’s Trump’s fault for not shutting down the country in February, but now they say he doesn’t have the authority to open it back up in May? It’s almost like Trump can’t be right in their eyes no matter what he does🤔
