Warren teamed up with director Gev Miron and composer/arranger Sharon Farber to turn Metz's uplifting anthem into an epic chorus sung by more than 170 artists from six continents as showcased in the monumental music video. The global effort has raised more than $5 million for the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization since its premiere last Friday and hopes to raise $7.5 million in the fundraiser's remaining 34 days.
"I am honored to have my song being used to unite people from around the world and to be involved in such an inspiring project. Knowing that there are people out there standing with you can be healing and comforting," Warren said in a press release. "Being a first responder is a daunting task, and we are here to show support for them and appreciate all that they are doing, and are thinking of all those who are suffering as we stand together.
Screens popped up around the world's famous tourist spots to digitally feature national talent, from 9-year-old American singer Eden Kontesz-Farber in Times Square to Greek singer Mario Frangoulis in front of the Acropolis to Australian artist Tina Arena on the Sydney Opera House to Turkish musician Omar Faruk Tekbilek near the Hagia Sophia.
"Music is a universal language, and a powerful tool to uplift and inspire. During these uncertain times, we have decided to take action and help those in need, those who are isolated at home, those who work tirelessly to mend to others, and all of us who feel the pain of this horrible epidemic," Farber and Miron said in the release.
