I’ve been writing about video games, television and movies for Forbes for over 10 years, and you may have seen my reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. I cover all manner of console and PC games, but if it’s about looting or shooting, I’m definitely there. If I’m watching something, it’s usually science fiction, horror or superheroic.

Destiny 2 has long been grappling with an issue about crafting, in that world drops could never measure up without the ability to have enhanced perks. Well, that’s changing for The Final Shape, and now Bungie is detailing how.is relatively simple, and there is a wide, wide variety that enhancement will work on, including a lot of old weapons Bungie had not previously said would be enhanceable. With a few exceptions, it’s every new-era weapon with an origin trait.

So the process here, it turns out is…very easy. No harder than crafting in terms of cost and leveling, it seems. Of course crafting is still technically better since you can customizeaspect of your weapon, including masterworks and barrels/mags on everything, not just Adept Raid weapons. But this is certainly far better than it used to be. Though I do wonder if every weapon can now be Enhanced, what’s really the point other than a small addition grind or core burn.
