The shooting happened near the Hypoluxo Center shopping center on the southeast corner of Hypoluxo Road and Military Trail. who was allegedly threatening passerby with a rifle on the streets of Lake Worth , Sheriff Ric Bradshaw confirmed.
Around 9:30 a.m., a deputy responded to the scene and tried to deescalate the situation, Bradshaw explained. The suspect was allegedly combative and pointed his rifle at the deputy, the sheriff said.That's when, the sheriff said, the suspect picked up a shotgun laying nearby and continued to resist the deputy, however the deputy was able to talk him into putting it down.
