Though Friday still has more moderate temperatures, there is a slight 20% chance of rain and snow as a small cold front moves through the area in the afternoon. The rain is expected from 11 a.m. to noon, and the snow could fall after noon. The day other than that will be mostly sunny, though, with some strong winds reaching 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Gusts could be as high as 34 mph.
In the mountains, Friday’s storm will have much stronger effects, as a winter storm warning and a high wind warning have been issued for Friday.
