Denver weather: First days of December will be in the 40s and 50s

Thursday and Friday’s highs are both 52 degrees to end the work week, but both days will have slightly different weather. Thursday will be sunny and breezy, and the low will be 39 degrees. Winds could reach up to 16 mph during the day and 34 mph at night.

Though Friday still has more moderate temperatures, there is a slight 20% chance of rain and snow as a small cold front moves through the area in the afternoon. The rain is expected from 11 a.m. to noon, and the snow could fall after noon. The day other than that will be mostly sunny, though, with some strong winds reaching 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Gusts could be as high as 34 mph.

In the mountains, Friday’s storm will have much stronger effects, as a winter storm warning and a high wind warning have been issued for Friday.
