Democrats Ask Mueller to Elaborate on McGahn Episode; He Points Back to Report

After opening statements by Mr. Mueller and the top Republican and Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, the panel has now used up about 20 minutes. That leaves two hours and 40 minutes for questions -- or 160 minutes, when it will take 205 minutes if all members are to get five minutes of time.

Mr. Mueller says he will not be able to answer questions about areas he knows are of public interest, including questions about the opening of the FBI’s Russia ivestigation. Nor will he talk about his relationship with Attorney General William Barr, who Democrats have accused of unveiling the findings in a favorable light for Mr. Trump.

"I therefore will not be able to answer questions about certain areas that I know are of public interest."The investigation didn't establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired with the Russian government in its election interference activities.

All right, Mueller, no one is above the law, if it's innocent, the report will indicate the absorption and if the American Congress is guilty, be informed. U.S. politicians have to stop playing King Sun and let every power of democracy incorporated do their job.

Muller doesn’t seem know what is in the report or the letter to Bar. The man is confused.

I wish they could declare contemp when M seems to obfuscate his answers. Also, that he would take umbrage to the Rs attack. It’s like there’s “collusion and obstruction” happening.

All he has to do is ask them to read the report. This whole thing is just for appearances and showboating. Tax payers should be furious that this is even taking place.

I'm rapidly losing my respect for Robert Mueller's integrity in this hearing. To any intelligent listener, he is being deliberately contradictory to statements in his report due to his own political posture that is clearly not to support truth/facts, if it benefits the democrats.

Is there a doctor at the hearing? Mueller seems to be having a stoke by the examples of his answers.

Clearly Mueller’s report was partisan by the omissions on it.
