has nothing to do with the veneration of the American flag. It is all about delegitimizing a Supreme Court over which they have no control.an upside-down American flag in a dispute with neighbors, and is now being attacked for flying the “Appeal to Heaven” flag, which theit an “extraordinary breach” and is demanding Alito recuse himself from cases. Sen. Dick Durbin did the same, saying it is part of “the Court’s ongoing ethical crisis.” With that, they are giving away the game.
This incident is yet another example of apparent ethical misconduct by a sitting justice, and it adds to the Court’s ongoing ethical crisis.I really wanted to just ignore this nonsense, but the idea that flying the pine tree flag is an example of “ethical misconduct” is insane and makes it rather obvious this is more about trying to discredit the court majority than actual concerns about judicial ethics.
Unless, that is, you think Democratic politicians and their liberal media allies are very upset that Alito allegedly wasn’t showing proper respect to the American flag, which is what started this whole ridiculous news cycle. Somewhere, Colin Kaepernick is no doubt laughing at that thought.Democrats and liberal media have no method of controlling the Supreme Court other than public pressure. It is why Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer two justices over abortion.
Democrats and liberal media don’t care how big of fools they look for claiming any Revolutionary War symbol is insurrectionist or how hypocritical they look complaining about treatment of the American flag. All of this is to pressure the court and undermine public opinion of it because Democrats are upset they can’t push through all of their unconstitutional policies with their Democratic-appointed rubber stamps being in the court minority.
