Sen. Doug Jones, who faces a tough 2020 reelection battle as a Democrat in Alabama, said Sunday that he is open to voting to acquit President Donald Trump on theapproved last week by the House of Representatives if he feels the evidence in the case is lacking.
Jones said in an interview on ABC's"This Week" that if the allegations are proven,"I think it's an impeachable matter."

None of the people who testified had any direct evidence of anything. There was no quid pro quo. They even admitted it to a man/woman. In a true court none of their testimony would be admitted into evidence because it was all hearsay and opinion.
Those so-called ‘gaps’ are two things: subpoenas that would have provided relevant evidentiary testimony, but were rebuffed by Republican disdain for the rule of law; and witnesses that have been forcefully suppressed from testifying. Easy solution, big kids I still in the room.

You blame the gaps in testimony on lack of cooperation from the White House, but yet if those aren’t filled in you won’t vote to impeach. All they have to do is make sure you don’t get the gaps filled in. Makes no sense at all!
