BREAKING: Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards wins reelection in Louisiana.

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards won reelection Saturday, the second gubernatorial victory for Democrats in a red state this month.

A Rispone victory on Saturday would have redeemed Trump's promise from his first visit to Louisiana last month, when he told supporters that if they held Edwards shy of a majority of the vote in the Oct. 12 primary, Republicans would win the general election in November. Voters delivered on the first part: Edwards earned 47 percent of the vote, while Rispone edged GOP Rep. Ralph Abraham for second place, 27 percent to 24 percent, earning a head-to-head shot with the incumbent in the runoff.

The polls — which suggested Saturday's election would be a nail-biter — were mostly on the mark. A Mason-Dixonreleased earlier this week showed Edwards just 2 points in front of Rispone, well within the margin of error.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom pardons 3 in bid to block deportationsIt is the latest in a series of actions by the Democratic governor as the Trump administration ramps up efforts to deport those with criminal records, particularly to Southeast Asian nations. Meanwhile, CA's insane Sanctuary State policy releases KNOWN CRIMINALS back onto the streets. How many more innocent Californians have to die? Victim Bambi Larson's is one of the more egregious examples. Donald pardons war criminals and deports war heroes and the Republicans see nothing wrong with that. Shameful. So we want the criminal aliens to stay? Why not leave the good people who are illegal alone but at least send back the convicted criminals.
