That is, unless the Democratic candidates somehow miraculously start talking about real-world issues like jobs and safety. Tuesday night would actually be a great time for them to start appealing to everyday Americans, when the candidates debate 125 miles north of here in Westerville.
The man, who added he's a registered Democrat, talked to Enquirer photographer Albert Cesare and me for nearly an hour on his front porch on a hot evening. He said a lady at his church had given him grief for supporting"racist" Trump, but the man said he's seen no hard evidence that's true. I saw one Trump bumper sticker, and it was on a luxury SUV. My colleague saw a"Trump 2020" doormat on a houseboat.I've taught US government for 40 years. Thanks to Trump, I'm doubting the Founders' plan.

So the takeaway is that in mostly white, rural towns, people like a white man that tells them lies that they want to believe and won’t challenge their core religious beliefs...got it
Not sure what to make of this, but it IS curious how the residents supposedly don’t care about “Twitter wars” but still stayed off-the-record in their responses. A theory: in an historically conservative community, they know that tRump is wrong for the country.

A few points need to be developed. 1) what are their core beliefs that match Trump 2) when they say jobs, you need to dig deeper-where are they being created 3) if it’s immigration- then who do they know that the policies directly affected them.
