'Delusional' man caught pointing gun at home accuses couple of kidnapping father: report

Over a period last year, Brooks and McHone said Messer, who is a stranger to them, showed up at their doorstep three times looking for his father."We're left speaking with this person who's labeled as the stepdad, and I remember asking, 'I don't understand, this isn't making sense,'" McHone said. "'This is the third time he's been here, he's been told three times we don't know who this person is. We don't know who either of you are.

Messer's former acquaintance, who reached out to Brooks, explained the reason for Messer's final visit on Saturday.
