Delta CEO Ed Bastian rebuked Bernie Sanders Monday for saying that Delta workers are underpaid.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders boards his chartered campaign aircraft after a rally in Akron in March 2016.Delta CEO Ed Bastian has rebuked U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders and eight other senators who joined Sanders last week to accuse the carrier of paying salaries as low as $9 an hour to employees who “live paycheck to paycheck” and who are being denied the right to join a union.

In particular, Bastian disputed Sanders’ charge that some Delta employees make as little as $9 an hour. Bastian said Delta starting salaries are nearly double that rate. Moreover, after 12 years with seniority raises, Bastian said, airport agents and flight attendants earn $74,000 annually and mechanics earn $121,000 annually.

I’m lucky to work in a Union.

I worked a contracted job. We did Delta and Comair planes. Top out was $14. They said they couldn’t pay us that high wage. Brought in DGS. Delta owned both companies. (Comair) The DGS employees started out at $11 topped out at $11. Supervisors I think made $15.

How much does Delta Contract out?

Former Goldman CEO Lloyd Blankfein on Trump's tariffs: 'I don't think he's wrong here'Former Goldman Sachs chief Lloyd Blankfein agrees with President Trump's stance on tariffs in the ongoing trade war with China, Politico reported Thursday. They will continue to support him unti he is no longer president, after that it will be free for all. Sounds like my life 😂 That explanation is a perfect example of why Trump & his ilk are failing.
