The model is set to be unveiled by DeLorean — made famous for its auto’s role in the 1980s-era “Back to the Future” movies — Aug. 18 at the Concours d’Elegance auto show in Pebble Beach, Calif. “Excitement is rising like the doors of our iconic sports car,” Troy Beetz, chief marketing officer with DeLorean, said in a statement.
DeLorean’s debut in San Antonio is contingent on City Council approving a set of giveaways for the company in the coming weeks. The package is to include a grant and tax abatement, but city officials so far have declined to say how much money they offered to land the company.Jerry S.
