Delaware Co. daycare provider pleads not guilty to 17 more charges of abusing kids

Rhonda Coomes appears in court on new charges related to allegations of abusing children at her in-home daycare. April 15, 2024. , with more than 20 charges now filed against a woman who is accused of abusing kids at the daycare she operated out of her Radnor home. Rhonda Coomes was in court Monday and pleaded not guilty to the new charges against her.

All of that led to an investigation by the Delaware County Sheriff’s office, which discovered Coomes had surveillance cameras in the home, which showed the abuse. Schiffel said there were hours and hours of footage. “This was a voluminous investigation for law enforcement, and the sheriff's office had a lot of evidence to go through,” she said.“Absolutely, report it,” she said. “You should be reporting it to Job and Family Services; you should be reporting it to law enforcement; let them investigate and do their job.”
