'I tested positive this morning for COVID-19,' he tweeted Sunday evening, adding that he was vaccinated and received his COVID-19 booster in October.

"I tested positive this morning for COVID-19," he tweeted Sunday evening, saying he was vaccinated and received his COVID-19 booster in October. "I requested the test today after exhibiting symptoms while at home on leave. My symptoms are mild, and I am following my physician’s directions."

New cases per day have more than doubled over the past two weeks, eclipsing the old mark of 250,000, set in mid-January, according to data kept by Johns Hopkins University. While hospitalizations sometimes lag behind cases, the hospital figures may reflect both the protection conferred by the vaccine and the possibility that omicron is not making people as sick as previous versions.

Are people in US this ignorant and not know how vaccines works?

The vaccines does NOT protect you against getting the virus. It protects you against dying from the virus just a seat belts and airbags do NOT protect you against from getting into a car crash. They protect you from dying in a car crash Jesus.

When truth is stranger than fiction ... and fiction is all the mass population was/is shown. Testing positive is being used as a death scare tactic. which is deadlier the disease, or the cure.

But the question here is how did you know that he took his booster or any of his COVID 19 shots

Wishing you a speedy recovery

What I want to know is what vaccine and what booster? Are they tracking those stats?

I tested positive and was fully vaxxed. After my 10 day quarantine I got my booster. My only symptom was a runny nose

Who is this speaking for the news agency of the United States Of America's news media team of the area I live in?

Please have a fast recovery

What's the point of the vaccines then?

How tf is this news?

Oh no another positive case where he will be perfectly fine in a week or two.

I’m sure he’ll be fine

So happy he is better, pretty scary stuff, especially having an underlying condition as Lockett has. May his story convince someone to get vaccinated and/or boostered, saving a life or lives. Glad he’s much better. COVID isn’t to be taken lightly or assume if become infected, it will be “mild.” I sure hope everyone else on team is boostered. Please, please be vigilant you all! This is why the entire get vaxxed plan is a joke. He was vaxxed and was very I'll. I never got vaxxed got very I'll and now gave mad anti bodies. Been close to peeps with new variant and nothing. Natural immunity is king

New year brings Utah its ‘highest testing demand’ for COVID-19COVID-19 testing sites were feeling the post-Christmas crunch on New Year’s Day as dozens of cars lined up for blocks, resulting in what the Utah Department of Health called “the highest testing demand we have seen in Utah.” I could be patient, but on my day off I just got told to leave the testing site because they had too many people waiting and couldn't take me. I was exposed and need a test, but I have to work Monday so I was counting on getting tested today. I probably won't go back for a test. How about we increase capacity
