It’s a global phenomenon — now New York is poised to lead the nation in congestion pricingPolitical squabbles and private interests are heckling the long-awaited tolling program in New York The idea is fine, the planned execution sucks. I live in the toll zone, pay a fortune for parking and absolutely need my vehicle for work travel to clients outside of the city. I’ll have to pay just to drive to my home? After already paying bridge and tunnel tolls. Outrageous! The problem with tolls like this is they turn driving even more into a thing only the wealthy are allowed to do.
