Deals, discounts for National Donut Day: Krispy Kreme, Dunkin' and more

To celebrate the sugary food holiday, dozens of donut shops across the U.S. are offering free donuts and other discounts on Friday, June 7. The national food holiday may be all about free donuts at the surface, but its roots originate date back to World War I.— a group of women volunteers who baked and delivered donuts to soldiers on the frontlines during World War I. If one just isn't enough, the chain is also offering a dozen original glazed donuts for just $2 when you buy any dozen.

The free donut deal excludes limited-time donuts and is available while supplies last at participating locations. Additionally, the deal is limited to one free donut per guest. Head to Shipley Do-Nuts on Friday to get a free glazed donut with any purchase. Head to Dapper Doughnuts between Friday, June 7 and Sunday, June 9, to get a free six-count of cinnamon sugar or powdered donuts with any purchase.
