Warning! Spoilers ahead for Flashpoint Beyond #6!A war may be brewing between the Gotham-based heroes Batman and Batwoman. A comment from the Time Master Rip Hunter implies that Bruce Wayne and his cousin could potentially be heading straight into a tumultous confrontation.
Though Bruce Wayne is the most well-known hero in Gotham, he isn't the only person to take up the symbol of the bat to fight crime. Bruce's cousin Kate Kane became a vigilante after she returned to Gotham City after she was forced to resign from West Point due to its "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. After being inspired by the heroic actions of Batman, Kate adopted his symbol and became Batwoman.
Are Batman and Batwoman About To Go To War? Hopefully it was worth it for Batman to get his father back, because he’s clearly made an enemy out of one of the most knowledgeable teams in the entire DC Universe. The Time Masters operate outside the timestream and know everything that has happened, will happen and even could happen. Rip is obviously aware that something bad is heading Batman’s way if Hunter had considered warning him.
To be fair, Batwoman isn’t the only person on the Kane side Bruce’s family that could cause problems for him. Batman’s extended family once tied Bruce Wayne to Otto Netz, aka Doctor Daedalus, a Nazi scientist supervillain. Chances are there could be other family members distantly related to Martha Wayne who could make some serious trouble for Batman. But Kate is the most high-profile member of Martha’s family that’s in Bruce’s life.
