Longtime church member Jen B has said before she fretted over being declared a “suppressive person” in the fallout from two alleged Masterson assaults. Being deemed a “SP” would essentially excommunicate her from the faith, and, as a consequence, from her family and friends, for making accusations again the high-profile fellow Scientologist Masterson, internally or externally.

With the panel gone, the defense put up a spirted effort to have powerhouse Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer taken off the witness list. The attorney, who was masked and in the courthouse today, represented Masterson in a $400,000 settlement the actor made with Jen B in 2004 and the non-disclosure agreement she signed in Singer’s Beverly Hills office.

Olmedo eventually denied the defense’s effort to remove Singer from the witness list. However, the judge ruled that his testimony will be “for the limited purpose of what occurred in the meeting between the parries when JB was present.” “Things seem to be a bit heated or emotional between the witness and Mr. Cohen,” Olmedo said to those remaining in the court, including Masterson himself. “There is a tone … that not just borders on argumentative, but is incredibly condescending.”

“I had sex vaginally before, but I had never, I was terrified or … and I believed at the time that our faith prohibited that, the second one,” responded Jeb B, a former Scientologist, referring to the latter element of the encounter in the master bedroom of then fellow-Scientologist Masterson.
