Jalisa Lockett, 22, and Amaya Lockett, 24, were killed in the shooting at an apartment complex in Old East Dallas.

Dallas police have arrested a suspect in a shooting that killed two women and injured a man at an apartment complex.The shooting happened at the Broadstone Paragon apartments on N. Washington Avenue, near Lemmon Avenue, in Old East Dallas at about 3 a.m.Sisters Jalisa Lockett, 22, and Amaya Lockett, 24, were killed in the shooting. A man was taken to the hospital, and was last listed as stable.25-year-old Saadiq Shabazz has been charged with capital murder.

The injured man told police he and his girlfriend, Amaya Lockett, were hanging with Jalisa and Shabazz when the two began arguing.The man and Amaya went into the bedroom to get away from the conflict when they heard a gunshot, according to the affidavit.When Amaya went to investigate the noise, Shabazz shot her and then shot her boyfriend as he tried to barricade himself inside the bedroom, documents say.Shabazz was eventually arrested in Fort Worth.
