Dallas OKs $5 million in incentives for Neiman Marcus to keep its HQ in Dallas

Capitalize the gains, socialize the losses. Article should be rephrased to say “Dallas TAXPAYERS will spent $5 large for the antiquated Neiman store downtown”

This is absolutely insane and all Dallas resident taxpayers should SUE THE CITY OF DALLAS. Wasting our money to suck off a private corporation? Why

So the city is going to bailout a for-profit corporation that caters exclusively to rich pricks.

When the property market collapses do we get property tax refunds?

When a city has to essentially pay to keep a business there, then maybe it is not a viable business. It's corporate welfare. Maybe use that money on your citizens rather than bribing a business to stick around.
