Guyton began his college career at TCU, but transferred at the end of his second season after head coach Gary Patterson resigned. He started only five games that first season with the Sooners before solidifying himself in the starting lineup for his final college season. Tyler Smith was considered the heir apparent at left tackle when he was taken in the first round of the ‘22 draft. But he’s proven to be so dominant at left guard, the club felt the best way to build this line going forward was to keep him there and use another first-round pick on a left tackle.
