The seven-day case total is less than half of the 19,610 new cases reported in the previous week, part of a downward trend being seen across the North Texas region.
The average number of new daily cases in the county for the last two weeks is 2,061. For the previous 14-day period, the average was 3,960. For the previous 14-day period, the average was 58,867.As of Tuesday, there were a total of 9,529 COVID-19 hospitalizations in the state, including 2,628 in North Texas. A week earlier, 12,156 people across the state were hospitalized with the virus, including 3,590 in North Texas.

For the previous 14-day period, the average was 5,440.According to the state, 1,321,627 people in Tarrant County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 1,156,613 — 59.5% of the county’s population 5 and older — are fully vaccinated.The state added 31 deaths and 4,803 cases to Collin County’s totals in the last week. In the previous seven-day period, 7,800 cases were reported.
