Some thought the original Cyan Volvo P1800 was beyond improvement - hasn't stopped them trying, though...Cyan Volvo P1800
Now, more than three years since that first P1800 was shown , Cyan Racing has announced a new GT version. Fundamentally it’s very similar, using the same 2.0-litre turbo engine, five-speed Holinger manual and sub-tonne carbon/steel body. However, as the name implies, this P1800 aims to be a more relaxing experience than the original road racer. And less blue.
The four-cylinder turbo has been modified with a focus on ‘drivability rather than raw power’, so expect a little more torque than the original P1800. Hardly going to be slow, however, as those who’ve already specced GTs have anywhere between 350hp and 420hp. More than plenty in a tonne or so of car.
