Federal officials found CVS’s COVID-19 vaccine registration portal was not accessible for a couple of reasons to people with certain disabilities.

Federal officials said they found CVS’s COVID-19 vaccine registration portal was not accessible to people who use screen reader software or have trouble using a mouse. Officials said the types of vaccine appointments offered were not read audibly to screen reader users at the beginning of the scheduling process.

CVS also agreed the company will regularly test the pages of its website that include vaccine scheduling and information about the COVID-19 vaccine and quickly fix any problems that keep people with disabilities from being able to use these pages.As new variant continue to spread across the U.S., we talk with doctors about how to live with the virus now and in the future.
