Covid Vaccines Could Offer Immunity Against Other Viruses, Study Finds

People who took Covid-19 vaccines or were infected with Covid-19 showed an increase in antibodies against both SARS-CoV1 and OC43, meaning people with some immunity against the coronavirus that causes Covid-19 have protection against other similar viruses.

Mice who were given Covid-19 vaccines also showed upticks in antibodies against SARS-CoV-1 and OC43, and a SARS-CoV-1 vaccine from 17 years ago offered mice protection against SARS-CoV-2, which is responsible for Covid-19.

Gambian women's voices on COVID-19 vaccines: 'We are afraid'SERREKUNDA, Gambia (AP) — Oyster harvesting in Gambia is considered women’s work. It's a grueling task — they paddle rickety boats, then get into water up to their necks to lay nets. Many of the women are the sole family breadwinners, and that burden has only intensified with the pandemic's economic hardships. I understand their concerns. It’s a difficult decision to make when you are sole caregiver and provider for your family. There’s no one there to take your place if you get sick from either the virus or vaccine. Trying to make the best decision is difficult They can only afford Ivermectin. They will be fine. with another bullshit take on Africans labeled as journalism. Is the reason why there is 4% vaccine intake on the continent because people don't want it or they can't get it? 🤔 Easier to pretend it's the former cos it makes your core audience feel good about themselves.

GOP lawmakers lead lawsuits against Connecticut COVID rulesSince the coronavirus pandemic hit, a pair of politically conservative lawyers has become the go-to team for groups seeking to sue Connecticut over the school mask mandate, restrictions on bars and restaurants, and other aspects of the governor's emergency executive orders. The two men, Doug Dubitsky and Craig Fishbein, are also Republican members of the state General Assembly. As long as being a legislator is part-time work in Connecticut, they say, officials are entitled to have other jobs to pay their bills.
