Court rules VA must pay veterans' ER bills at non-VA hospitals

WASHINGTON — The Department of Veterans Affairs must reimburseveterans for emergency medical care at non-VA facilities, a federal appeals court ruled Monday — a decision that could be worth billions of dollars to veterans.

"All of this is unacceptable," said the ruling, which ordered the VA secretary to"readjudicate these reimbursement claims."

If a Veteran walks in to a medical facility, they get treated. If the facility cannot provide the treatment, they get referred. Their bill is $0, they already paid.

These people are still joining the military en masse knowing they will be treated like shit after they've served? I'm not sure how I should feel about this.
