Kaylynn Knull said she and her boyfriend, Tom Schwander, became sick while on vacation at the Grand Bahia Principe hotel in the coastal city of La Romana in June 2018.
Upon returning home to Colorado, the couple saw a doctor who said they were likely experiencing poisoning from organophosphate, a form of insecticide, which Knull said she believes were being used on the plants around the resort. Miranda Schaupp-Werner, 41, was found dead in her room at the resort on May 25 -- five days before Edward Nathaniel Holmes, 63, and Cynthia Ann Day, 49, were found dead in their room.
An autopsy performed on the couple, Holmes and Day, determined that they died of the same causes, according to the Dominican Republic National Police."This is the first time I’ve seen something like this," Col. Frank Duran, director of communications for the Dominican Republic National Police, told ABC News on Wednesday."The manner of deaths weren’t violent."
Killing people frfr, shit is crazy..
Very sad for families and happening far too often! Sometimes it is carbon monoxide, but sometimes it can be poison put in rooms for pests but can be far too strong and inhaled by guests and can kill them! Canadians have been killed this way check it out!
death in paradise ...
Another man died a year ago. His widow just came forward. An organophosphate is like Sarin Gas, it melts you from the inside out.
Question — Are the autopsies being performed in the Dom. Republic or in the U.S.? Not sure I would trust results if done there (Dom Rep). Media isn’t mentioning this in reporting. TomLlamasABC
Cheap strikes again
They must of had dirt on Hillary
Times are tough, travelling overseas can be treacherous and dangerous. Everyone must be very wary of their surroundings!!
Thoughts, prayers with them to get better!!
Why didn't this couple say something about this after their doctor's report? Maybe they could have saved other lives.
This reminds me of a family that rented a condo and the pesticide that the management used in the condos was actually banned in the US. I cannot remember what island it was. Some of these countries are still using banned chemicals. Important to know when booking getaway.
😔 this is sad and scary.
Did they sprayed the beds with a heavy duty poison to kill bedbugs, etc? This happened in Vietnam a few years ago, where students died from that.
Why aren't they closing the place down !obviously something is wrong !how many more people u gonna let die !!
This is some Hotel California shizz right here.
