Corpses Lie For Days As Ecuador Struggles To Keep Up With COVID-19 Deaths

Guayaquil has registered about half of all Ecuador's coronavirus cases and patients have overwhelmed the city's hospitals. In addition, a nationwide curfew and bureaucratic red tape have hindered the work of undertakers. Jonathan Escalante, a city health worker, told journalists that one of the bodies he had been dispatched to collect had been in the custody of relatives for a week.

There have been 272 Coronavirus deaths in Ecuador(pop-16 million). Are there 272 coffins in the country? Yes. The funeral homes are refusing to take all corpses out of fear that the dead corpses could transmit Coronavirus. Hysteria- not Coronavirus is causing this

There are some good news, the government hospitals are overwhelmed just like in the USA. Some private drs has formed a group (committee) to help people with medical attention at home, protect medical personnel, to pick up bodies, to protect garbage collectors, etc..there is hope!

Rule of law will become increasingly important in poorer nations with this virus, but corona virus induced upheavals could benefit dictators who, in turn, cover up their atrocities.

.Lenin red tape must be cut in case the bodies are infectious, keep them moving!

Is COVID-19 worse than the flu? Or is it the same as flu but too much?

This reporting is fair but a little too PG rated. They are not mentioning the part where people are burning the bodies out on the street in order to 'sanitize' the dead body and/or shooting the homeless in the head if the local people think they are sick.
