Coronavirus widens the cracks in Egypt's cement industry, which is already scrambling to respond to competition from a vast new factory owned by the military

LafargeHolcim, Vicat and CEMEX did not respond to requests for comment. Titan said it was happy with its Egyptian investment and it saw a 5% increase in volume in the first quarter despite the coronavirus lockdown measures.

“There is an expectation that some plants will have to close in the coming years as the economics just don’t make sense.” The plant appears to have been inspired by a government study in the early 2000s that predicted demand would rise to 100 million tonnes a year, the company officials said.

Airlines Got $25 Billion in Stimulus; Industry Still Expected to ShrinkFederal stimulus money for airlines is keeping them afloat through the coronavirus pandemic, but it’s not proving to be enough to sustain the industry at its pre-pandemic size. Then maybe the stimulus should have been aimed at ordinary citizens rather than corporations. I do not agree with extreme socialism. Yet, expecting government bailouts for corporations every few years is insane to me. If they can't stay afloat they need to restructure. well, no worries -- realdonaldtrump and his crew of cronies will ensure that they have plenty of cash to get thru the rest....the average peasants should be happy to support the airlines while they themselves crater, right why not just call it U.S. Federal Air then? Tax payers might as well own them outright if we are funding them to keep them afloat.

It's getting even harder for black and Latino tenants to pay the rentBlack and Latino homeowners and renters were more likely to miss their payments in May than their white and Asian counterparts, according to a new analysis of US Census Bureau data. They were also less likely to be confident about making June payments. 50 Pcs Disposable Filter 3-ply Face Protective Cover Personal Protection! Get it here: I'm white and I missed mine due to covid19. This virus doesn't discriminate. If you had a job, lost that job due to covid19, you can't afford rent. Government shod focus on helping with rent by sending vouchers to people for their landlords, in their landlords names. Wtf!!! Honestly for all the dim bulbs in the back: the higher the single motherhood in a culture, the more likely to be in poverty. Asians have a low divorce rate and they study up in school. That means mo’ money.
