Significantly fewer Californians driving could result in 15,000 fewer collisions per month and 6,000 fewer injury accidents per month, researchers said.

Hoping to escape the spread of coronavirus, these Californians are fleeing to the deserts and mountains. Some locals wish they had stayed home.Susan Handy, a professor of environmental science and director of the National Center for Sustainable Transportation at UC Davis, described Shilling’s findings as “an important reminder of how hazardous our normal lives have become.”

Similarly, the average daily number of vehicle collisions involving injuries and fatalities in the 10 days prior to the order was 562, compared with 274 per day in the 10 days after the order was issued. The UC Davis Roadkill Ecology Center was established to help design transportation systems, including highways, that take into account their impact on natural landscapes and urban centers.

Car insurance companies thankful for that. $ paid but don’t have to spend.

You guys really do have a stellar research team.

Eviehome2 Only half? Is everyone on the road now DUI?

Guess we better eliminate all cars....or you are wanting people to die. If it saves lives......open businesses

Collision or crash. Not an accident.

Leftists utopia.

The angle of this note is completely wrong. Whenever i’ve been up there i’ve noticed that idiot americans are behaving more entitled than EVER on the road since they feel there’s no one else and they own the road. Driving while texting, speeding, swerving, etc. God bless 🇺🇸 🤦‍♂️

davegreenidge57 so atleast half the drivers ignored the stay at home orders

Finally- some positive news ❤️❤️

Should be more

So my car insurance rates should drop?

I'm thinking the reduction should have been 💯

But incidents of domestic abuse have gone up, right?

Only by half? Lol

Florida megachurch pastor charged with defying coronavirus stay-at-home ordersRodney Howard-Browne, co-founder of the River at Tampa Bay Church, is accused of presiding over two services on Sunday attended by hundreds of parishioners, some of them ferried there by bus transportation his church provided, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "His reckless disregard What a POS! I understand that everybody wants to do things like go to church, but there are other ways that we can all worship God from our own homes. We can listen to gods music and read his word. Even tune in to on line church services. Going to church is just one way to do it. More like holding a gathering.
