Experts say earlier rationing and limits could have prevented price gouging and hoarding.

Tinglong Dai, an associate professor at Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School, said when consumers see empty shelves, it leads them into a “vicious cycle of panic buying,” which he said rationing can help break.

Empty shelves have customers flocking to online shopping hoping to get the household products delivered to their homes. "We’re seeing a lot of first-time buyers coming online, and in the coming weeks, I suspect we’ll see them stay online given the ease of placing an order," Huang told USA TODAY.

Ok, experts: What's the next item that needs rationing? Bet you wouldn't have said toilet paper and hand sanitizer two weeks ago. Please tell me it's bourbon.

They should add toilet paper and paper towels to that list.

This is how a Wal-Mart in Wisconsin has looked for over two weeks.

Who knew

We can’t even find it

Not being whipped into a frenzy by 24/7 hysterical news coverage of a virus that is NOT more dangerous than the flu would also prevent price gouging & hoarding. 41,000+/year pass from flu complicatons. Nobody blinks. Follow. The. Money.

Or people not being fools

Where are these pics from? I have been to numerous grocery store in the last few weeks and have not seen an empty shelf.

That’s common sense thin

'EXPERTS' have hindsight and couldn't have predicted dumbasses buying toilet paper by the pallet.

Welcome to the age of toilet paper arbitrage
