Several grocery store chains including Florida-based Publix, which has 1,200-plus stores in six states, is taking the drastic step of suspending refunds on products purchased during the declared emergency.

Too much toilet paper? You might be stuck

In some stores, returns are not being allowed on critical supplies such as toilet paper and sanitizing wipes. "I think retailers will be very strict about taking back items that consumers have hoarded. Retailers can’t cope with hoarded items being returned en masse," he said.Stores are refusing to accept returns for another reason: possible contamination.

Awesome!! All of you hoarders deserve it!

Not a drastic step at all.

Target isn’t doing any returns AT ALL. Until late April

Matt6:19-20,33 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven... But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you

That’s why you should buy supplies that you will consume anyway. Prepper 101

You buy it you keep it! 🤷‍♀️

I love my Publix. ❤️

😏😏

great. All stores should apply this policy.

Is? Are?

I’m still trying to understand the whole toilet paper fascination when it’s a respiratory virus

Good. Most of those returns would be those who bought up supply to price gouge and now can’t. Make their pockets hurt!

Other stores should be doing this too. Home Depot comes to mind.

Some stores over here did that within a week

spare me....how about making them available FIRST and then you can tell me i can’t refund them

Good idea, but instead of returning unused product some of the people who hoarded too much TP or ramen will be profiteering.
