Facebook survey finds 55% of shuttered small businesses don't plan to rehire same workers

More than half of small and medium-sized businesses that shut down say they won't rehire same workers, according to a survey compiled by Facebook.

The report indicates that economic recovery could still be a long slog after businesses are allowed to reopen.Eduardo Munoz | VIEW press | Getty Images According to the report, only 45% of owners and managers of small and medium-sized businesses surveyed by Facebook said they would rehire the same workers they were forced to let go or furlough once they reopen. If that estimate holds true for similar businesses across the country, it could devastate predictions of a swift economic recovery from the crisis.

Don’t hate. It’s an opportunity to rebuild stronger.

I've had biz owners tell me some employees won't come back b/c they are making more staying home. Prev stimulus passed needs to be fixed B4 new stimulus even considered.
