Shippensburg softball coach Jarrett Worthington admits he’s made plenty of wrong moves this season. But he may have made his best decision of the year in Monday’s District 3 opener. Up 2-1 in the top of the seventh inning, the Greyhounds coach turned to sophomore bat Cora Chamberlin to pinch hit, and the choice couldn’t have gone better, as Chamberlin launched a two-run homer to right to provide the cushion her team needed to finish off an upset 4-3 victory over defending state champion Northern in the first round of the District 3 5A playoffs. and Cora Chamberlin detail how the Greyhounds upended the reigning district and state champs.
