Denmark's Copenhagen Airports is considering laying off 650 staff to cope with a global aviation sector standstill as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

“We have to accept that we’re not in a position to retain the number of employees we had in pre-corona times,” its chief executive Thomas Woldbye said. If 650 jobs are cut, CPH estimates it would lead to annual cost savings of some 325 million Danish crowns , although with only a limited effect in 2020.

Separately, CPH reported a 55.5% drop in revenue for the first six months as a result of the coronavirus crisis.
