Denny Hamlin's looking for back-to-back wins and has plenty of career success at Martinsville to lean on. See why he's the favorite in the Cook Out 400 odds as we break down this week's NASCAR betting action.Hamlin, still in search of his first Cup Series crown, is not only the favorite for this weekend's race, but comes in off a win last week — his second of this very young season.
After slow starts each of the past two years, could 2024 be Hamlin's return to season-long dominance? Let's check out the Cook Out 400 odds and this week's best NASCARDenny Hamlin's the man to beat at the Cook Out 400, and with good reason.
Tailing Hamlin in the odds is de-facto weekly favorite Kyle Larson; who won last season's spring race at Martinsville and will find his name at or near the top of just about any odds board that isn't a road course or superspeedway. Larson has one victory on the season, and Top-5 finishes in three of the last five races.
Slightly below them are the next tier of Cook Out 400 favorites: Martin Truex Jr. , Ryan Blaney , and Christopher Bell . Overall, this field has bucked the 2024's NASCAR odds board trends thus far, with what, by comparison, is an extremely linear distribution of drivers. Whereas most of this season's races have seen a crowded tier of favorites near or below +1,200, with virtually no drivers priced in the +2,000 to +5,000 range, the Cook Out 400 odds have nine drivers available at those lower long-shot prices.
