Cook County population drop second-worst in country: census data

The Cook County population drop was the second-worst in the country, behind only Los Angeles County, according to the latest census estimates.Baseball season has begun and Cook County residents are going, going, gone by the tens of thousands, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's latest estimates.

Of the 47 counties in the country with 1 million or more residents, only four - Philadelphia, Kings , Queens and Bronx - experienced sharper percentage declines. Bronx County had the sharpest decline, at almost 3%.Cook County's decline, however, is not as sharp as last year's , thanks largely to international migration, according to demographers with the Census Bureau. An influx of about 18,000 immigrants helped to offset an estimated 94,000 residents lost via domestic migration.

DuPage lost the most, losing 5,547 residents for a rate of 0.6%.

People don't like high crime and high taxes and bad weather.

God forbid you should want to own a house in Cook County, you end up with high propert taxes.

Dupage, Kane and lake county got an influx of people. Police don’t play so people feel safer with their justice system.

Of course it did, these losers keep crime up and tax the balls off anyone looking to better themselves
