EAST PALESTINE, Ohio — Contaminated waste from the site of a fiery train derailment in Ohio began moving out again Monday, after concerns were raised during the weekend about oversight of where it was being shipped, federal officials said.
According to its website, Roachdale has a population of around 1,000 people and is located in northeastern Putnam County. Officials on Saturday had ordered Norfolk Southern to “pause” shipments to allow additional oversight measures. Some liquid and solid waste had already been taken to sites in Michigan and Texas.
Some of the remaining liquid waste is going to a facility in Vickery, Ohio, for disposal in an underground injection well. Norfolk Southern is also shipping solid waste to an incinerator in East Liverpool, Ohio.
Are they trying to spread possible hazardous materials on purpose!? What's the point of bringing it here to Indiana?
What are you going to do about it?
What the ? Just say no GovHolcomb !!!! Why do Hoosiers deserve to be treated this way !!! Ship it to the Norfolk Southern CEO where he lives & dump it on his front door!!
If the governor objects can’t he put a stop to it. I thought he was the most powerful person in the state.
Send that crap to be buried underneath PeteButtigieg ‘s house . And the CEO of the train company too.
Great, poor train maintenance leads to this.
Well Michigan & Texas elected officials were riled up enough to push back against taking it to their states, let’s see how Indiana’s react. It is hazardous material we’re talking about here…
hammerandnigel This is bullshit.
Let's not get people in Roachdale riled up about this.
